Must See

At China Town neighborhood of Glodok, Jakarta, you can visit Vihara Dharma Bhakti (Jin De Yuan), the oldest Chinese temple in Jakarta and traditional market that sell various products. If you are keen for something vintage, visit Old Town Jakarta with its historic sites and buildings that built during colonial era with Dutch-Style structures. You can also see the river with 600-meter stretch.

Must Do

Experience the cultural melting pot that is Jakarta’s Chinatown. Known as Glodok, this is the biggest Chinatown in Indonesia, rich with history and steeped in tradition. After that you can explore the Jakarta Old Town, popularly known as Kota Tua, you can find few iconic museums around and has some unique buildings since Dutch colonial era. You can visit these sites just by walking tour.

Don’t Go Home Without

Don’t go home without trying local dishes that is sold by local hawkers in Chinatown traditional market. You can find wide range of food stalls with unique traditional snacks that got influenced by Chinese tradition. Rent pink ‘colonial’ bicycles you can ride around the Old Town Jakarta square with a funny colonial hat on. It will definitely be a memorable experience to share with your loved ones.

For those who love the pace of exploring on foot, explore Petak Sembilan, Gloria Alley, an alley full of delicious foods! Further more, you can visit Old Town which offers beautiful ancient buildings built during the colonial with museums such as Fathaillah and Puppet Museum where you can learn more about Jakarta. You may feel more comfortable in a T-shirt and jeans if walking around the city.
